I just can’t seem to get enough of the stage . . . and the death that is Girl Scout cookies.
Come watch me play a 12-year-old hipster Girl Scout trying to sell some cookies with an unexpectedly ingenious business partner. `Nuff said!

Missed the screening of my short film, 21st Century Romance, last week because of my show w/ Towne Street, 7th Annual 10-Minute Play Festival; but I’m making it to today’s screening of my other short film, Land of Smiles, before getting back on stage tonight! Setting up a network meeting for GUIDES WebSeries, and my next short film, UNIFA, is scheduled to screen next month!! Please Like, Follow, and Share!
MANY MANY THANKS to everyone who contributed their hard-earned dough to my scrumptious bake sale fundraiser for my family affected by Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines! It is always wonderful to be pleasantly surprised by the generosity of others, and I am so grateful to all of you for your thoughts and prayers.
And because the bake sale was as fun for me as it was delicious for my new fans, I have decided to keep the yum-train going for the holiday season! Many thanks to all of my tasters and for the great feedback. Stay tuned for a mouth-watering menu w/ pretty pictures!
These past couple of months alone have given me so much to be thankful for:
- GUIDES WebSeries made it to Roku via GoIndieTV
- GUIDES got into the 2013 Hollywood & Vine Film Festival
- GUIDES has been selected as a quarter-finalist for NexTV Entertainment’s 2013 Web Series & Indie Film Competition
- My first holiday-themed project–EVER–is in audiobook form and is now available on Audible, Amazon, and iTunes
- Towne Street Theatre has asked the cast of #FAIL to reprise our hilarious performance from this summer’s Sketch Comedy Showcase in next February’s 10-Min. Play Fest
- Wrapped the suspenseful film, Land of Smiles, which focuses on the sex trade in Thailand
- Wrapped post on the romantic comedy, 21st Century Romance, which screens next month
- In post for the action-packed spy thriller, U.N.I.F.A., which screens in March
- I’ve started a little baking business and am overwhelmed w/ the great reviews
- I am alive and healthy!
Patricia aka Zyra
Just got word: GUIDES is one of Go Indie TV’s top shows and will be on their Roku channel in the near future!! Details to follow. Thanks upon thanks to everyone who has supported my series since day 1! MUCH Alien Love ♥
With just one week left, please continue to vote for us in the Montreux Web Series Contest. You get one vote per device! We’re at #4 and so close to #3 but need to get to #1!!
It has been nearly 1 year and 6 months since I was cast as Zyra, the lead villain, in the sci-fi dramedy web series, GUIDES. I am so fortunate to be a part of the same project for this long and to be working alongside a female-dominated team of motivated, relentless promoters–exploring all outlets to expose the potential of this unique project.
For the next 42 days, you have the opportunity to help us get screened at the Montreux Comedy Festival. (<<Click here.) Are we the funniest web series among the lot? No. Are we the most intelligent? Maybe so. Are we undeniably unlike any sci-fi dramedy web series you’ve seen since the explosion of web series? Pretty damn sure. Do we deserve a chance to gain more followers and “make it” to the next level? You can bet on your spot in the long line of your local Apple store on September 19th for the September 20th release of the gold iPhone 5S that YES…we DO. (<<Or here.)
So, be a pal, a nerd, a good samarit–whatever–and watch, vote, share. Then, share some more. The success of this sleeper sci-fi dramedy web series hit depends on it. (<<This is literally it.)
Last weekend, I had the absolute pleasure of working with a stunt double for the first time. His name is Flavio Gullo, and he’s Italian as Italian gets. Need I say more?
He played my biker stunt double and could not have been more of a gentle soul. Can you imagine me on that monster of a beautiful bike?
Ok, yes. But can you imagine me actually riding that sleek hunk of metal?
…No pic there. Maybe someday! What is for sure is that I’ll be back on set this weekend to do my big scene and wrap up the entire project. Half the cast is from Ivan Chubbuck Studio–at the top of my To Go To List–no pressure. Stay tuned!
If you haven’t already, you gotta check out Towne Street Theatre’s comedy, Jackleg, for which I serve as Assistant Director and Producer.
Beyond Therapy, another comedy I produced this summer closed last night, and I could not be more proud. We had a well respected agent in the house last night, as well as several members from the NAACP. Seats are quickly filling up for the closing of Jackleg this weekend!
Another show done and gone too soon. I am so very grateful to my friends and family who took the time to come out and watch my first endeavor as a sketch comic and writer. The overwhelmingly positive feedback from my teacher, classmates, and–most importantly–the audience was more than I could have ever asked for and has certainly sparked a flame that I both fear and excitedly anticipate to grow into a virile fire–a fire with no hope of being put out. I should certainly hope not.
Pursuing SNL doesn’t seem so scary now after all…
